To be a good salesman, you must learn to sell yourself. So in that respect, my first real sales challenge in Hong Kong will be to make friends with more locals. Should be exciting. I'll keep you all posted.

Some encouraging words from an Australian who has lived here for 4 months now. The locals are very friendly, and if you make the effort to get to know them, they'll make the effort as well. In the end, you'll find out just how much we're all alike.

I really want to know my neighbors now.

Talent management is now a job for the CEO.

I've talked briefly with Celina, Helen, and Candy who I will primarily be working with this summer. They will hold a dinner in July, including an auction and would like some AIESEC US memorabilia. Also, Cyrus is interested in having me help design new AIESEC jackets and work on campus branding.

Did you know AIESEC HK has an AIESEC Visa Card? How cool is that?

I'm quite pleased with the MC apartment/office. It's very well branded.

Cyrus talked a little bit about the LC structure, which is quite different. I'll post more information soon.

Also, my roommate Crystal is working on People Development at the moment. She is working on a plan for recruiting and setting up teams based upon Learning Networks.

The opportunity of a lifetime

This summer I will challenge myself with the opportunity of a lifetime - the chance to network with MNCs in the business capital of Asia - Hong Kong.

I arrived in HK last night but I don't officially begin my intership (CEED) for a few days. I'll need it.

Right now I'm reading Jeffrey Gittomer's "Sales Bible". Any other book recommendations?
